RedBeaver — proposed sovereign-AI platform
RedBeaver is our working name for an AI stack that never leaves Canadian jurisdiction: Canadian-hosted language models, retrieval over your documents, and French/English parity from day one — a hard requirement for federal and Québec institutions. Six proposed specialist modules (from “Blue Moose” document intelligence to “Polar Bear” northern operations) shape the same core for different mandates.
Status: design and pilots-for-interest only. No models are hosted anywhere yet, because no facilities exist yet.

All tiers are proposals for a service that does not exist yet. Availability figures are design targets, not commitments — no SLA can be offered until facilities operate.
Indicative economics
Hydro provinces publish among North America’s most stable industrial power rates; cold air cuts cooling energy; both flow to the price of compute. We will publish modelled numbers only after the feasibility work — anything more precise today would be fiction.
Architecture in one paragraph
Low-profile buildings near existing hydro infrastructure; free-air and closed-loop liquid cooling (targeting 0.2 L/kWh water); battery buffering against grid events; dark-fibre backhaul with carrier diversity; Canadian-only control planes so no management path leaves the jurisdiction.
