A concept, stated plainly

Canadian Vault proposes AI data centres sited where three resources coincide: hydro-electric power, continental-scale freshwater, and cold air. It began as a green-computing idea and became a water idea the moment it became clear that siting — not technology — is what decides whether AI infrastructure is welcome.

The venture is at concept stage. The honest inventory: thirteen published candidate sites, engineering design targets, this website, and conversations we are trying to earn. It does not include facilities, customers, revenue, or signed partnerships.

The sovereignty pledge

Compute we build will run on Canadian land, under Canadian law, with management paths that never leave the jurisdiction, with data residency by construction rather than by contract. The pledge is easy to write and expensive to keep — we publish it now so it can be used against us later if we drift.

Field notes

We retired an earlier blog of stub posts and will reopen this section only when we have three things worth saying — findings from feasibility work, for instance. Announcements will appear here first.
