Canadian Vault takes a privacy-first approach to website analytics. We collect only essential data and never share personal information with third parties.
Our Analytics Approach

- Page views - To understand which content is most valuable
- Referral sources - To see how visitors find our site
- Device types - To optimize for mobile/desktop experiences
- Geographic regions - To plan infrastructure locations (country-level only)
- User interactions - Contact form submissions, button clicks (anonymized)

- Personal identifiers - No tracking of individual users
- Cross-site tracking - No third-party tracking cookies
- Behavioral profiling - No detailed user behavior analysis
- IP addresses - Anonymized immediately upon collection
- Sensitive data - No health, financial, or personal information
Technical Implementation
π¨π¦ Canadian-Hosted Analytics
We use self-hosted, Canadian analytics infrastructure that complies with PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws:
- Data residency: All analytics data stays in Canada
- Retention policy: Data automatically deleted after 13 months
- Access control: Only essential Canadian Vault staff can access aggregated data
- No third parties: Analytics data is never shared with external companies

- IP anonymization: Last octet removed immediately
- Session encryption: All data encrypted in transit and at rest
- Automatic expiry: Personal identifiers purged within 24 hours
